We are a nonprofit community organization focused on the preservation of these historic buildings, while providing the community a place for gatherings, art, music and other activities. With the help of our tireless board members, we organize fundraisers, community-building events, and offer spaces for neighbors to use for their own events.

We’ve been serving the southeastern Ohio region from the same Athens location since 1971. We provide musical instruments, accessories, lessons, and repairs.
One of AAMP’s favorite places, Blue Eagle Music is an Athens institution. Frank is our go to source for many of the guitars and accessories that we give away.
For twenty years, Stuart’s has been a community center for the arts. On average, Stuart’s provides 25,000 visitors with over 75 events a year, including concerts, theater performances, free concerts, educational events, and private rentals. Our art programming and educational outreach keep us heavily involved with the underserved population of Nelsonville and surrounding communities through cooperative participation in and preservation of the arts.
An average of 7,000 students participates yearly in our Arts Education Program! The goal of the Arts Education Program is to offer an affordable, broad-based program in the performing arts.
Stuart’s Opera House is a real gem in Southeast Ohio. Not only a great place to see a show, they put on the amazing Nelsonville Music Festival. Their after school music program is one of the programs that we have been supporting the longest.
Athens County Children Services continues to work diligently to keep children safe and families strong. We strongly believe that children living in a safe, stable, and nurturing family environment have the greatest chance of growing into productive, contributing members of the community.
Athens County Children Services works hard to provide or arrange services that enhance the factors that protect children and promote strong families. We provide prevention services that support families so that incidents of abuse and neglect are reduced or eliminated.
