Nate Brite was born and raised in Athens, Ohio in 1977 and has lived here his entire life. He is a 1996 graduate of Federal Hocking High School and he also graduated from Ohio University with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2012.

Mr. Brite spent nearly a decade in sales and sales management and is currently self-employed as a local business owner providing general contracting, excavation, and lawn care services. In his past he worked for several years in social services as a mental health and addiction services case manager for young people and adults.

Additionally, he has sat on other non-profit boards such as the Unbroken Circle Fund, and currently sits on the board for Boogie on the Bricks, which is an annual not-for-profit event for the community held in Athens, OH.

He has been playing music in and around the tri-state area for nearly 30 years and has been a member of several bands of various genre bending amalgamations. Mr. Brite has been involved with the local music scene since his earliest conceivable exposure and has been heavily influenced by such local legends as John “Catfish” Juliano, J.D. & Bob Hutchison, Jorma Kaukonen, Chris Biester, Scott Winland, Mike Elliot, Justin Gordon, Frank McDermott, Todd Sams, Eric “Junebug” Leighton, Steve Carlson, and honestly way too many to list them all!

Nate’s passion for music & arts is rivaled only by the general community of Athens and the local music & art scene therein!
