December of 2022 was a busy month for the Athens Artists Memorial Project!
On Saturday, December 10, 2022 we put on LEMONFEST, a musical tribute to the Beatles where local bands performed songs from the Fab Four to an excited crowd of about 200 people, at The Union Bar & Grill, and raised over $1,500.00 for our cause.
Special thanks to Scott Winland for his work booking and producing this show, which we hope to re-visit next December.
Our Board President Doug Brooks worked with the Athens County Children’s Services to help contribute a gift for a child in need, in this years’ “Santa Tree Project”. This year we donated an acoustic guitar to a young lady who broke down in tears with happiness, a true reminder of what our organization is all about.

Thanks to you, our donors, AAMP’s first “official” year (as a 501C3 Charity) was a smashing success, raising over $10,000.00 this calendar year, which puts us in an outstanding position for 2023, to spread the love of the arts to those who otherwise might not be able to enjoy them.
