Hi Folks – A few updates from our organization for April of 2022.
It’s our 4th month with our new and re-vamped Board of Directors and we’re gaining momentum! We’ve firmly established our 501C3 Non Profit and are bringing in donations, and spending a fair amount of time this month dispersing some funds to those in need who’ve requested them.
Our generous benefactor and Advisor Lucian Spataro, in memory of his brother John, has offered to match any donations received this year up to $2,500! So give until it hurts (him.) =)
The clarinet donated in Greg Anderson’s name last month has found a great new home with the Federal Hocking Marching Band, and we even kicked in $100 extra so it could get repaired and tuned up and ready to play. (Pictured.)
We have a brand new online donation form to better serve us determine eligibility, so check it out and let us know if you have anyone in your life in need of an artistic boost.
We’d like to thank Stewart McDonald, an Athens business specializing on shipping guitar parts and music accessories all over the globe, has donated $500.00 to our fund, which we aim to put to good use and we thank them for their kind gift.
Other than that, we’re excited for the oncoming Spring as well as a new board member for our next meeting on May 4, and we’re giving away disbursements this month so check back soon to meet our newest recipients.
