August 2017 Update: Hello Donors and Potential Donors of the John Spataro Memorial Music Fund, below is an update on our activities as of August, 2017. The Fund’s balance is now over $8,000.00 and we’re working to disperse some gifts to recipients this Fall.
So far the fund had gifted:
- $500 for “Rock Camp for Girls” (Arts West, Athens Ohio)
- $500 for “Stuarts After School Program” (Stuart’s Opera House, Nelsonville, Ohio) – See image and video for more info.
Both these donations will help provide funds for students and children to attend these amazing events.
We’re now turning our attention to finding new recipients now that Fall is in the air, these include:
- Blue Eagle Music, donation for lessons and instruments for open scholarship.
- Athens High School (Ohio) Band, donation for brass instruments, lessons, and sheet music.
- An Annual Fund to help students with expenses related to a Music Education degree from Ohio University.
- And more!
