Group Application

To apply for funds from our program, please read the following instructions and then fill out the application below.

Instructions:

    • You must be 18 years or older to complete this application. 
    • Anyone under 18 needs a parent or guardian to fill out it out for them.
    • All required questions must be answered or the application will be dismissed (* indicates required field) .
    • You must be truthful with your answers.
    • You must answer the question about your financial need and any special circumstances you may have with detail. In order to qualify for “needs based” funding, we need to know your situation. All information will be kept confidential.
    • Should you receive funding, we will follow up with you after about a year after you receive funding to inquire how that funding impacted you. We ask that you respond in a timely manner. This helps to raise funds for future recipients. All information will be kept confidential.
    • Funds are distributed to Southeastern Ohio residents (children prioritized) and based on financial need.
    • Applications will be discussed at the next scheduled board meeting, which are held on the first Monday of each month. We will be in touch shortly after. If funding is needed sooner than that, please let us know.
    • We ask that you respond to emails if we request more information or have additional questions. Applicants that do not reply to emails may have their applications dismissed.
    • We do not fund travel or hotel expenses.
    • We offer funding for the arts only. We define art as “something created by a person, using imagination and skill, that is beautiful or that expresses or communicates important ideas or emotions.”

We fund:

Visual Arts – Ceramics, drawing, film making, painting, photography, sculpting, textile arts, graphic arts, etc.

Literary Arts – Fiction, drama, poetry, storytelling, prose, etc.

Performing Arts – Dance, music, theater, puppetry, choreography, lighting and sound, etc.

  • Funding is awarded in the form of equipment, instruments, lessons/classes, scholarships, supplies/ materials, etc. We do not award money directly to individuals.
  • Athens Artists Memorial Project requests a promotional photo be taken when the recipient receives their gift/award.  A parent or guardian may stand in for the recipient if they under the age of 18.  AAMP only uses these photos for promotional purposes to raise funds for future recipients. Photos will not contain any identifying information other than first names.
